BCV Kickoff IN the KEWEENAW

Join us in the heart of the Keweenaw for the ultimate season-starter at Backcountry Village. We’re firing up winter with a full day built for riders, fans, and anyone who lives for the snowmobile culture of the North.

Morning Parking Lot Hangout

We’re starting bright and early with a stacked parking-lot meet-up featuring industry partners doing what they do best:

  • FOX Shocks offering free shock installs
  • Bikeman Performance providing on-site installs and tuning
Additional vendors showcasing gear, upgrades, and must-have sled essentials
  • Opportunities throughout the morning to raise money for local snowmobile clubs and support the trails we all rely on

Grab a coffee, talk sleds, check out the builds, and get your machine dialed before the riding begins.

Dual Ride Outs

Late morning, we roll straight into two ride-out options:

  • Backcountry Ride in the BCV Terrain Park led by Longtrack Jack
  • Trail Ride with Stretch from Western UP Trail Reports, heading out for a classic Keweenaw loop

Choose your style and get out there with riders who know the region better than anyone.

4 PM Freestyle Show

At 4 PM, all eyes turn to the freestyle grounds for a heavy-hitting lineup:
Brett Turcotte, Willie Elam, and Kyle Saxton, fresh off their weekend in Aspen for X Games, throwing down a high-energy freestyle show you won’t forget.

Expect the biggest tricks, the loudest crowd, and that unmistakable X-Games-level intensity.

BackwoodsBMP Afterparty

The day wraps at the Range Lounge for the official BackwoodsBMP Afterparty:

  • Special screening of Brett Turcotte’s That’s Sleddin’
  • Screening of Rooster Tail Production’s RÉSUMÉ
  • A full meet-and-greet with the athletes
  • DJ and signature cocktails
  • $10 entry fee for party

Kick back, grab a drink, swap stories from the day, and celebrate with the people pushing the sport forward.
